How we verify reviews

Who can write a review

Only a customer who booked and paid for a hotel, a holiday, an attraction or a flight on TravelTheme, and only after the trip has ended. There is no review form open to anyone, and we do not copy reviews from other sites.

The day after the trip ends we send an email with a personal link. The link belongs to a single booking, works for 60 days and can be used once. That is why every review is marked “Verified booking”.

What we publish

• Every review, good or bad. We do not choose reviews by their score.
• The score, the text, the type of trip (couple, family, friends, solo) and the month of the trip.
• The first name and the initial of the surname, for example “Andrei M.”. We never publish the email address or the booking details.

What we hide

We read every review before it goes live, usually within two days. We hide the text, never the score, when it contains insults, personal data (phone numbers, email addresses), advertising or something unrelated to the trip. The score still counts in the average, and the review shows that its text was hidden.

Our replies

We can reply publicly to a review, under it, signed “TravelTheme’s reply”. Replies do not change the review or its score.

Rewards

We do not pay for reviews and offer nothing in exchange for them. If we ever offer something, it will be for any review, good or bad, and we will say so on this page.

The score

Scores go from 1 to 10. The average shown on a page is calculated only from reviews written by TravelTheme customers. For hotels, the score from our hotel partner is shown separately.
