Our commitment
HERMES TRADE MARKET S.R.L., the operator of the TravelTheme platform, aims for traveltheme.com and its booking services to be usable by as many people as possible, including people with disabilities, in the spirit of Law no. 232/2022 on the accessibility requirements for products and services.
As a technical reference we use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA, referenced by the European standard EN 301 549.
Compliance status
The site is partially compliant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. We keep working on the parts that are not yet fully accessible.
What we have done so far
- the search and booking pages can be used with the keyboard, with a visible focus;
- buttons, fields and dialogs have names that screen readers announce;
- text can be enlarged from the browser and pages reflow to the screen width;
- the site follows the system setting for reduced motion;
- the options above: larger text, high contrast, underlined links, wider text spacing, animations off.
Known limitations
- hotel and destination photos come from partners and do not always have a detailed text description;
- interactive maps cannot be fully used with a screen reader; the address and distances are also written on the page;
- payment takes place in the payment processor’s secure form, whose accessibility we do not directly control.
