Everything you need to know about Paphos

When to go to Paphos

April to November is the perfect season. April–May and September–October offer the ideal balance of 24-28°C temperatures, a warm sea and fewer crowds than in peak season.

Where to stay

Kato Paphos to be close to the harbour and the archaeological park, Coral Bay for family beaches, or Polis Chrysochous for seclusion next to the wild Akamas Peninsula.

Getting around

The airport–hotel transfer is included. Cyprus drives on the left (a British legacy) — we recommend organised transfers or taxis. A 4x4 is needed for the Akamas Peninsula.

Local food

Try souvlaki, sheftalia (Cypriot sausages), fried halloumi, kleftiko (slow-cooked lamb) and Commandaria wine. The market at Paphos harbour is ideal for fresh seafood.
