When to go to Santorini
April–October is the season. June and September are the most pleasant — ideal weather, spectacular sunsets, without the August crowds.
Where to stay
Oia for the famous sunsets (but pricey), Fira for nightlife, and Kamari or Perissa for black-sand beaches and more reasonable prices.
Getting around
The airport–hotel transfer is included. The island is small — ATVs/quads are popular, but the narrow, busy roads call for caution.
Local food
Santorini fava, domatokeftedes (tomato fritters) and assyrtiko (the local volcanic white wine). Greek cuisine takes a unique form on this island.
