Talk to a consultantThe direct charter flight from Romania to Chania airport (CHQ) takes about 2h, with no stopovers. Charters are available from Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Iași and Timișoara, depending on the week.
The ideal season is May to October. Average summer temperatures are 27–31°C. Western Crete is greener than the east, ideal for hiking the Samaria Gorge in June–September.
The official currency is the Euro (EUR). Practical tip: cards are accepted everywhere. We recommend keeping a small amount of cash for tips and local markets.
