When to go to Mauritius
May to December is the most pleasant season, sunny and less humid. The austral summer (January–March) is hotter, with short tropical showers.
Where to stay
The east coast (Belle Mare) for calm lagoons and large resorts, the north (Grand Baie) for nightlife, and the south-west (Le Morne) for spectacular views and kitesurfing.
Getting around
The airport–hotel transfer is included. For trips to Chamarel, the waterfalls or Port Louis, an organised tour or a local driver is the easiest option.
