When to go to Cape Verde
Sunshine almost all year. October to June is the dry season, and winter is perfect for a beach holiday while it is cold in Romania.
Where to stay
Santa Maria, in the south of the island, has the long white-sand beach, restaurants and nightlife. The large all-inclusive resorts line the coast west of town.
Getting around
The airport–hotel transfer is included. For the Pedra de Lume salt flats, Shark Bay, Buracona (“Blue Eye”) or Kite Beach, an organised tour is the easiest option.
